KCI's Data Entry facility utilizes the virtual encryption features of Captiva Software Snippet program. This enables us to scan a document and electronically split the digitized image into hundreds of individual pieces. The pieces, or "snippets," are then randomly distributed to scores of our Data Entry Operators. The Data Entry Operators will view the snippet on their monitor and key the data they see (whether the original was typed or hand written). The Captiva software will then reassemble the randomized snippets into their complete form. The data can then be stored in multiple formats to suit the customer. The finished data can be transmitted to customers by network connection or stored on CD and mailed. 

The Snippet feature enables us to serve customers with sensitive information without the risk of identity theft.
